Hoshino Lab.

Research

Hoshino Laboratory is pursuing to develop bio-mimetic materials such as plastic antibodies, artificial enzymes and light-emitting materials, based on organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, coordination chemistry, and supramolecular chemistry. Prof. Hoshino is developing procedures to create synthetic nano materials that function as antibody and enzymes. Professor Shimakoshi is working on artificial enzymes and photocatalysts that have functions beyond living organisms. Associate professor Ono is pioneering light-emitting materials focusing on the stereochemistry and self-organization of coordination complexes.
