The Kubota Laboratory aims to develop novel supramolecular technologies for organizing sophisticated molecular assemblies with life-like properties. Inspired by living cells and organisms, we design multicomponent and nonequilibrium supramolecular systems that exhibit dynamic and functional behaviors. These systems enable the rational development of photofunctional materials and active soft materials with potential applications in controlled drug delivery, regenerative medicine, and solar cells.
