Professor Kimizuka received his B.S. degree in Synthetic Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering in 1982 from Kyushu University. After completing his M. Sc. in 1984, he was appointed to the post of a research associate at Department of Chemical Science and Technology (Prof. Toyoki Kunitake’s group) in 1985. He received Ph. D. in 1990 from Kyushu University and after spending three months as a post-doc in Mainz University (Prof. Helmut Ringsdorf’s group), he was promoted to Associate Professor in 1992. Since 2000, he is a full Professor in the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyushu University.
