Yoichi Sasaki received his Ph.D. degree from Kyushu University in 2021 on near-infrared-to-visible photon upconversion under the supervision of Prof. Nobuhiro Yanai and Prof. Nobuo Kimizuka. During his PhD, he spent three months at the University of Sheffield as a visiting researcher (Dr. Jenny Clark’s group). He worked at the University of Strasbourg in 2021 as a postdoctoral fellow (Prof. Thomas Ebbesen’s group). He joined Kyushu University in 2023 as an assistant professor in Center for Molecular Systems. Associate Professor, Department of Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering, Kyushu University (since May 2025).His research interests are photochemistry, physical chemistry and material chemistry.
